SAIC Audi's 2024 First Half Sales Surge with Promising Outlook

TapTechNews July 1st news, SAIC Audi's sales data for the first half of 2024 was released. The official announcement stated that the sales of all vehicle models were nearly 20,000 units, with a year-on-year increase of 107%, which had already reached two-thirds of last year's total annual sales.

Among them, SAIC Audi A7L reached 13,517 units, achieving a 168% increase compared to the same period last year.

In addition, SAIC Audi Q6 and Q5e-tron also both achieved growth compared to the same period last year, with Q6 increasing by more than 50% year-on-year.

According to a previous TapTechNews report, SAIC Group and Audi AG signed a cooperation agreement on May 20th, and the joint development of the Advanced Digitized Platform officially started. The two sides will jointly develop several luxury intelligent electric new vehicles for SAIC Audi.

On May 24th, the production base of the brand-new intelligent digital platform was started to be upgraded in Anting. In the future, this factory will become the exclusive production base for Audi's new generation of luxury intelligent electric products. This also indicates that SAIC Audi is accelerating to enter the new track of luxury intelligent pure electric, and the vehicle models will cover the B-class and C-class markets, and the first pure electric vehicle is expected to be launched in 2025.
