Google adjusts Play Store application pricing ceiling

TapTechNews May 24th news, at this year's I/O Developer Conference, Google announced that the application pricing ceiling of the Play Store was adjusted to $1000 (TapTechNews note: currently about 7250 Chinese yuan).

When the Play Store was first born, the application pricing ceiling was $200, and it was adjusted to $400 at the end of 2015. After eight and a half years, the ceiling increased by 150%.

In order to promote users to choose these high-priced applications, Google launched a new installment subscription function at the I/O conference, allowing developers to provide users with the option of long-term subscription installment payments. Google said that this adjustment increased the total number of subscription registrations by 8% and user spending by 4%.
