As of the end of 2023, the total value of Samsung Electronics stocks held by these young investors is 1.54 trillion won (TapTechNews note: about 81.22 million yuan currently), accounting for 0.3% of the company's 468.62 trillion won (about 2.47 trillion yuan currently) market capitalization. On average, each young person holds 46 shares of Samsung Electronics stock, equivalent to 3.61 million won (about 19,039 yuan currently) per person.

It is learned that after the stock split of Samsung Electronics in May 2018, there was a significant increase for the first time, resulting in the number of shareholders under the age of 20 rising from 2,638 at the end of 2010 to 18,301 in 2019, and the proportion among the total shareholders increased from 1.83% to 3.21% during the same period.

Since 2020, the number of shareholders under the age of 20 has risen to 115,083, to 358,257 in 2021, and to 431,642 in 2022. Their proportion in the total has also skyrocketed, reaching 5.3% in 2020, 7.07% in 2021, and 7.42% in 2022.

Compared with the end of 2019, the number of Samsung's shareholders under the age of 20 has increased by 21.4 times in four years, while the proportion has increased by 2.6 times.

As of the end of 2023, the age group with the highest proportion of shareholders of Samsung Electronics is 40 years old, accounting for 22.04%, followed by people in their 30s, accounting for 21.1%, and people in their 50s accounting for 20.8%. In terms of the number of shares held, people in their 50s hold the most, with 419.5 million shares, followed by people in their 60s with 190.2 million shares, and people in their 70s with 178 million shares.
