Apple's Move for iPhone 16 Mandatory Meetings and Future Plans

TapTechNews August 25th news, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple has arranged for all Apple retail store employees to attend a mandatory meeting shortly after the iPhone 16 launch event (expected to be held on September 10th). These meetings will be held either on the evening of September 12th or the morning of September 13th, depending on the store.

Gurman noted that the timing of these meetings is unusual as Apple typically holds such meetings on Sundays rather than weekdays. However, it seems that Apple will adopt a different strategy this year to deal with the new iPhone launch.

TapTechNews noticed that in subsequent tweets, Gurman also stated that Apple has begun training retail store employees on AppleIntelligence, and it is expected to be the focus of the sales promotion of the iPhone 16 in Apple retail stores.

AppleIntelligence is not expected to be released along with the iPhone 16 in September as its official release date has been postponed to iOS 18.1 in October, when functions such as the writing tool, notification summary, and new Siri interface will be available, but more advanced functions such as ImagePlayground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration will only be available in iOS 18.2 or later versions.

Some analysts predict that artificial intelligence will increase the sales of the iPhone 16 by up to 10 million units, so it is not surprising that Apple plans to promote these functions in the store to users.
