Huawei Launches MatePad 11.5-inch S Tablet with Kirin 9000WL and WM Chips

On May 16, TapTechNews reported that Huawei unveiled the MatePad 11.5-inch S tablet yesterday, available in Soft Light and Agile versions. Both models support the Star Flash NearLink connection technology, with prices starting at $2499 for the Soft Light model (8+256GB) and $1899 for the Agile model (8+128GB).

However, those hoping to buy a tablet with the Kirin 9000WL chip for $1899 may be disappointed. ZEALER co-founder @TechXin discovered that the chips in these two tablets are actually different.

Soft Light model with Kirin 9000WL chip: 8 cores, 12 threads

2×Hisilicon 2487MHz

6×Hisilicon 2150MHz

4×ARM Cortex-A510 1530MHz

Agile model with Kirin 9000WM chip: 6 cores, 9 threads

2×Hisilicon 2350MHz

4×Hisilicon 2150MHz

3×ARM Cortex-A510 1530MHz

However, other than the chips, there are not many differences between the two tablets. Both models support up to 66W SuperCharge Turbo, but the official package only includes a 22.5W charger.

The new Huawei MatePad 11.5-inch S tablet features a metal body, measuring 6.2mm thick and weighing 510g. It comes in three colors: Deep Space Grey, Frost Silver, and Violet. The tablet's screen, called Cloud Clear, reduces visual fatigue by 34% and brain fatigue by 14%, while effectively eliminating glare. The screen is an 11.5-inch 3:2 ratio 2.8K 144Hz display. It also boasts nano etching technology for a paper-like writing experience.

Additionally, the new MatePad tablet debuts Huawei's Nature Painting app. It also includes the Huawei Note feature with AI handwriting adjustment, material market, and audio note synchronization.

Other features of the tablet include an 8800mAh battery, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, four speakers, USB 3.0 Type-C port, and pre-installed HarmonyOS 4.2 operating system.
