FritoLay company announced this week that it will launch a limited edition CoolRanch zero gravity flavored corn chips. TapTechNews learned from the report that this potato chip is specially produced for the weightless environment in space. Instead of using powdered ingredients, it is covered with an oil-based coating and has a relatively small volume that can be eaten in one bite to prevent dust from floating in the cabin.

These potato chips will be carried on SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft on August 26 and enter space in the Polaris Dawn mission. SpaceX will also conduct the first-ever commercial spacewalk.
