Shanghai HeLi Network Technology Service Co. Ltd. Under Investigation for Alleged Service Agreement Violation

TapTechNews October 9th news, according to the report of The Paper today, the Market Supervision Bureau of Pudong New Area, Shanghai has filed a case to investigate the behavior of Shanghai HeLi Network Technology Service Co., Ltd. suspected of modifying the service agreement and not disclosing it within the specified time limit.

TapTechNews note: Shanghai HeLi Network Technology Service Co., Ltd. is the operator of the Hema App, and Hangzhou Baoxuan Investment Management Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Hema Network Technology Co., Ltd. each hold 50% of the shares.

The bureau received a report from the masses that at the end of last year, Hema changed the member shipping fee rule from 31 free times per month to 1 free time per day, and this change was only disclosed on December 20th and 21st, 2023.

Article 34 of the E-commerce Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates that when an e-commerce platform operator modifies the platform service agreement and trading rules, it should publicly solicit opinions in a prominent position on its homepage, and take reasonable measures to ensure that all relevant parties can express their opinions in a timely and sufficient manner. The modified content should be disclosed at least seven days before implementation.
