From June 18th to June 23rd, 2024, the starting price of the Camry Hybrid model was reduced by $4,650 (30,000 RMB), starting from $2,300 (14,980 RMB); the starting price of the Highlander Hybrid model was reduced by $4,960 (32,000 RMB), starting from $3,350 (21,780 RMB).

TapTechNews learned that the new GAC Toyota Camry was launched in March this year and has made many upgrades in terms of product power, such as upgrading the 12.3-inch central control screen and AR-styled HUD, supporting CarPlay, CarLife, and HiCar three mobile phone interconnections, and for the first time equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 vehicle-mounted chip. The vehicle-mounted system and AI voice assistant were developed in cooperation with Huawei.

Regarding the power system, the ninth-generation Camry provides three power versions for consumers to choose from: the pure fuel version of 2.0L + CVT, the 2.0HEV version with the fifth-generation THS hybrid system, and the 2.5HEV version. Among them, the 2.0HEV appeared on the Camry for the first time, with a combined power of 145 kW and a fuel consumption of 0.91 gal/100mi (4.2 L/100km), replacing the 2.5L fuel version of the previous generation.

The 2024 GAC Toyota Highlander was launched in May this year. The new car is equipped with a black air intake grille on the front face, and the hybrid version provides exclusive blue dotted car logo, and the rear uses a hidden exhaust design. The car is equipped with a new 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel with 3 display modes, equipped with the Snapdragon 8155 vehicle-mounted chip + 12G of running memory, and supports OTA upgrade.

Regarding the power aspect, the 2024 Highlander provides a 2.0T fuel version with a maximum power of 245 hp (182 kW) and a peak torque of 280 lb-ft (380 Nm), matching an 8-speed automatic transmission and providing a four-wheel drive version; The smart electric hybrid twin-engine version provides a 2.5-liter petrol-electric hybrid power, and the combined maximum power of the system is 245 hp (181 kW), matching an E-CVT electronically continuously variable transmission, and also providing a four-wheel drive version.
