Apple to Release AirPods Max 2 in 2024

TapTechNews on May 29, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said in the latest issue of the PowerOn newsletter that Apple will release the AirPods Max 2 headphones in late 2024.

Tech media 9to5Mac thinks Apple usually launches new AirPods along with the launch of the iPhone every autumn, so it believes that Apple is most likely to release the AirPods Max 2 in September this year.

Gurman said in the newsletter: I estimate that the new version of AirPods Max will switch to a USB-C port, but I don't expect Apple to introduce a significant upgrade.

TapTechNews quoted the media report, believing that in addition to switching to the USB-C port and bringing new colors, the AirPods Max 2 may adopt the H2 chip to realize the new functions of the AirPods Pro 2, including Adaptive Audio, easier to trigger Siri, Conversation Awareness and Personalized Audio, etc.

The media believes that AirPods Max will obtain the same functions as AirPods Pro, be equipped with a USB-C port and new colors, and the price may be the same as the existing AirPods Max (click here to buy), maintaining the price of $599 (about 3999 yuan).
