Tesla's Cybertruck Undergoes Major Adjustments Price Increases and Changes in Specifications

The official configurator has removed the entry-level rear-wheel drive model that was originally planned to be delivered in 2025 and priced at $60,990 (TapTechNews note: currently about 438,000 yuan).

Meanwhile, the price of the all-wheel drive version has soared from $79,990 to $99,990 (currently about 718,000 yuan), an increase of up to $20,000. Surprisingly, the range has also shrunk from 340 miles (about 547 kilometers) to 318 miles (about 512 kilometers). However, Tesla still claims that this pickup has a powerful 608 horsepower, can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 112 mph (about 180 kilometers per hour).

The price of the top-of-the-line performance version Cyberbeast has also increased, jumping from $99,990 to $119,990 (currently about 861,000 yuan), also an increase of $20,000, and the range has also decreased from 320 miles (about 515 kilometers) to 301 miles (about 484 kilometers). Other parameters remain the same, with 857 horsepower, can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds (excluding start-up time), a top speed of 120 mph, and a towing capacity of 4,990 kilograms.

The expected delivery time for the all-wheel drive version is from August to September 2024, and the expected delivery time for Cyberbeast is from October to December 2024.

It is worth noting that the currently available Cybertruck is all the Foundation Series limited edition models, and Tesla claims it is the fully equipped version, but it is far from the initial promised starting price of $39,900 (currently about 286,000 yuan).

It is also worth mentioning that the current starting price (including shipping) of General Motors' Hummer EV pickup is $98,845, which is already lower than Tesla's $101,985 (including shipping) for Cybertruck.
