New Tamron 50-300mm Lens for Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras

TapTechNews June 6th, Tamron lens official Weibo announced today that the new Sony E-mount telephoto zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras - 50-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (model A069) will be officially launched on June 27, 2024, with a price of $830 (approx. 5890 yuan).

Officials said that this lens starts at 50mm at the wide-angle end and covers up to 300mm while still achieving a compact and lightweight feature of 150mm in length and 665g in weight.

It is equipped with specially configured special material lenses that can well suppress various aberrations, so that the lens can have high image quality throughout the entire shorter range of 50-300mm.

This lens is also equipped with a linear motor focusing mechanism VXD and an anti-shake mechanism VC. The closest shooting distance at the wide-angle end 50mm is 0.22m, and the maximum photography magnification is 1:2. The filter diameter is the same as that of most of the company's mirrorless lenses, which is φ67mm.

In other respects, it is equipped with a simple drip-proof structure and an anti-fouling coating, and also supports the connection port of the Tamron independently developed dedicated software TAMRON Lens Utility.
