The Scania 40S and 45S all-electric trucks are based on the Scania S series, using a 4x2 chassis and a six-speed gearbox. Equipped with a three-motor power system, the output power can reach 400 kW/450 kW.

With a battery with a capacity of 624 kWh (about 22.36 cubic feet), the Scania S series all-electric truck can achieve a maximum range of 520 kilometers (about 323 miles).

Compared to the fuel version, the interiors of the all-electric Scania 40S and 45S trucks have also been adjusted, including the blind spot indicator located on the A pillar, the electric parking brake and small changes on the dashboard.

TapTechNews noticed that Renault E-Tech T, Scania S BEV and several electric trucks planned in the future only support playing through quick tasks, limiting the transport length to 350 kilometers (about 217.5 miles).
