AMD Surpasses Intel in Brand Value, NVIDIA Leads the Increase in 2024

Thanks to the boom in the field of artificial intelligence, AMD's performance in the professional field is particularly remarkable. Compared to Intel's Gaudi series, AMD's Instinct series AI accelerators are more popular among customers. The reason is that on the one hand, AMD makes better use of the market heat and wins customer trust; on the other hand, consumer-oriented AI products such as the StrixPoint APU have also achieved great success. Based on these factors, Kantar ranked AMD ahead of Intel in terms of brand value.

This list ranks the world's top brands by combining factors such as consumer sentiment and financial data, and to some extent also reflects the general awareness of the brand among consumers. In Kantar's Business Technology and Service Platform category, AMD has risen significantly, and its brand value has reached 51.86 million US dollars (note: brand value is not market capitalization).

Compared with 2023, AMD's brand value has increased by 53%, while Intel is only 23%, highlighting AMD's strong momentum in the market. Currently, AMD ranks 41st and Intel is ranked 48th.

TapTechNews noticed that AMD was also included in this year's Top Ten Brand Ascension List, and was on the list along with the equally strong NVIDIA (178% increase), Instagram and Facebook (both with double-digit growth). The top five in brand value are Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and McDonald's, followed by NVIDIA in sixth place. NVIDIA's high increase of 178% shows its dominant position in the technology industry and is expected to enter the top five this year.

It should be noted that this report is not a direct manifestation of market share, but it is enough to show that the competition between AMD and Intel is becoming more and more intense.
