The Raspberry Pi SD Card complies with the SD 6.1 specification and can work at -25°F to +185°F, and has C10, U3, V30 speed class certifications. When paired with the Raspberry Pi 5 and using the SDR104 bus speed mode, the random 4K read and write performance can reach 5000/2000 IOPS respectively.

The Raspberry Pi officials said that when verifying the compatibility of the SD memory card command queue (CQ) mode that can improve the random I/O throughput performance, it was found that some third-party A2 application performance level memory cards did not implement the CQ mode well, which became the motivation for the Raspberry Pi to launch the first-party A2 speed level memory card.

Raspberry Pi finally chose Jiangbolong as the OEM partner of the first-party cost-effective memory card. The memory cards produced by Jiangbolong have passed the robustness test of accidental power outage 10,000 times under heavy I/O load and have been optimized for the Raspberry Pi 5.
