Intel Granite Rapids with Xeon 6900P Processor Appears on Geekbench with Impressive Specs

TapTechNews August 14th news, an Intel Granite Rapids reference platform engineering machine equipped with a Xeon 6900P processor appeared on Geekbench today and recognized 2 terabytes of memory.

The reference platform runs the Ubuntu 24.04 LTS system and is equipped with two Xeon 6900P processors (LGA7529 socket), totaling 240 cores and 480 threads.

TapTechNews reminds that this processor is essentially still an engineering sample, with 120 P-cores per chip, 240 MB L2 cache, and 504 MB L3 cache. The base frequency is 1.80 GHz. In Geekbench 6.2.1 for Linux AVX2, the single-core跑分 is 1021 points and the multi-core跑分 is 7155 points.

The Xeon 6900P is equipped with a total of 744 MB of L2+L3 cache, which is 57.5% higher than the L3 cache of Emerald Rapids, and the L2 cache is almost doubled.

Referring to the leaked data a few days ago, this processor should belong to the engineering sample of Intel Xeon 6979P, with a base frequency of 2.10 GHz and a TDP of 500 W, but this ES chip only runs at a frequency of 1.8 GHz. It is believed that the final mass production performance will still improve.
