OnePlus Nord 4 Released with Innovative Features and Pricing

TapTechNews July 16th news, at the OnePlus summer launch event held in Milan, Italy, the all-new OnePlus Nord 4 was released. Different from the current mainstream glass back cover design, Nord 4 chose to return to the classic metal unibody design.

In terms of performance, Nord 4 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 processor, providing memory options of 8GB/12GB/16GB, and the storage space has 128GB UFS3.1 and 256GB/512GB UFS4.0 options.

The screen part, Nord 4 adopts a 6.74-inch SuperFluid AMOLED panel, supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1240p resolution, and a 16MP front camera is placed in the upper left corner.

In terms of the rear imaging, Nord 4 adopts a combination of a 50MP main camera (supporting OIS and EIS) + an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and the main camera can shoot up to 4K 60fps video.

In terms of battery life, Nord 4 is equipped with a 5500mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging, which can be fully charged within 30 minutes. The charger needs to be purchased separately and is not included in the packaging box. OnePlus said that even after 1600 charging cycles, the battery can still retain at least 80% of its capacity.

To achieve the metal unibody, OnePlus adopted an innovative solution. They redesigned the antenna into a U-shape and added small pillars inside the back cover, successfully halving the antenna size and improving the signal amplification ability.

The new design language of the new machine is named Nordtones, and in terms of color matching, three options of silver water, oasis green, and midnight black are provided.

It is worth noting that OnePlus promotes Nord 4 as the first global model equipped with an AI mid-range chip. These AI functions include AI voice summary, AI note summary, and AILinkboost technology that can reconnect to the mobile network at an unprecedented speed. Nord 4 also provides an AI group photo function, which can subtly adjust the eyes of the characters in the group photo to avoid the embarrassing moment of closed eyes.

In terms of the system, Nord 4 runs OxygenOS 14.1 based on Android 14, and OnePlus promises to provide security updates for up to 6 years, meaning that the machine will continue to receive official support until 2030.

In terms of price, in the European market, the 12GB/256GB version costs £429 (TapTechNews note: currently about 4,046 yuan) / €499 (currently about 3,954 yuan), while the top-of-the-line 16GB/512GB version costs £529 (currently about 4,989 yuan) / €599 (currently about 4,747 yuan). Pre-orders have now begun, and pre-order users will receive a free NordBuds 3 Pro true wireless earphones. Users who choose the higher storage version will also enjoy a €50 discount. The official release time is August 8th.

In the Indian market, the new machine pre-order will begin on July 20th and officially go on sale on August 2nd. During the pre-order period, the 8GB/256GB version is provided, with a price of 32,999 Indian rupees (currently about 2,867 yuan); the 12GB/256GB version costs 35,999 Indian rupees (currently about 3,128 yuan). Later, the 8GB/128GB version will also be launched, with a price of 29,999 Indian rupees (currently about 2,607 yuan).
