MediaTek Announces July Revenue and Upcoming Dimensity 9400 Chip

TapTechNews August 9th news, MediaTek just released the latest 7th business turnover report: The consolidated operating income in July was 45.61 billion New Taiwan dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 10.092 billion yuan), an increase of 43.6% year-on-year.

From January to July this year, MediaTek's consolidated revenue was 306.339 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 67.786 billion yuan), an increase of 35.82% year-on-year.

At the earnings call held last week, MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai announced that the Dimensity 9400 chip will be launched in October and estimated that the company will return to the normal seasonal pattern in the second half of 2024.

Rick Tsai said that the Dimensity 9300 chip created a revenue of 1 billion US dollars for the company in 2023 and boosted revenue growth by 70%, and the upcoming Dimensity 9400 chip is more advanced and is expected to achieve greater success. Rick Tsai also said that the average selling price (ASP) of the Dimensity 9400 chip will be higher than that of the previous generation and actively explore the international market.
