TapTechNews August 9th news, Huawei officially released an article today introducing the "installation preloading" feature of the Hongmeng HarmonyOS NEXT system.
According to the introduction, preloading supports applications in the installed state, preloading data to the local for caching in advance, improving the speed of application page opening. This function does not require integrating the SDK, does not modify the original data format, and can be used by enabling the service, which is suitable for layout and use in industries such as news, medical, culture and tourism.
Huawei officially stated that based on the HarmonyOS NEXT system, the application accessing preloading has a page opening speed increase of more than 50% compared to the unaccessed version. The preloading usage steps are as follows:
Log in to AppGalleryConnect
Enable preloading and bind cloud functions
Integrate preloading
Effect verification
TapTechNews attaches the details of this function as follows:
The AppGalleryConnect (referred to as AGC) preloading service allows developers' applications to preload the application home page data to the local for caching in the installed state, effectively improving the first opening speed of the application page.
In addition, the preloading service only caches in the original binary data. When the application uses the preloading service, it does not need to modify the original data format, and can directly parse after obtaining the cache, and can also encrypt privacy and sensitive data.
The preloading service obtains data from the application background according to the configured data preloading strategy
The preloading service caches the obtained data locally
The application uses the obtained cached data for page rendering
Preloading is available for users to use for free. But currently the preloading service realizes preloading through cloud functions, and a fee needs to be paid for the portion exceeding the free quota of the cloud functions.
