Apple to Use 120Hz ProMotion on iPhone17 Standard/Air

Analyst RossYoung revealed today that Apple plans to use the 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate technology on the standard version/Air ultra-thin model of iPhone17.

For comparison, TapTechNews learned that the current Apple iPhone16 standard version/Plus models are respectively equipped with 6.1-inch 2556x1179 resolution and 6.7-inch 2796x1290 resolution OLED panels, and the refresh rates are both 60Hz.

The ProMotion technology will also allow the iPhone17 standard version and iPhone17Air phones to obtain lower power consumption and allow these two phones to obtain a refresh rate as low as 1Hz, which is suitable for scenarios where screen elements such as AOD remain stationary for a long time.
