Corden said that the next-generation Xbox will 'ignificantly' tilt towards the positioning of a 'Windows system game console' and will become a'reference device for manufacturers'. Microsoft plans to provide licenses to manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE to allow them to manufacture their own 'OEM' Xbox consoles.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, Jez Corden also recently revealed that Microsoft's next-generation Xbox game console is expected to have a built-in Steam client and support playing Steam games. Combining relevant news, it can be seen that Microsoft has paid more attention to the software platform nature of 'Xbox', relegating the hardware itself to a secondary position. This strategy is somewhat similar to that of the Windows Phone and Zune platforms back then.
