TapTechNews June 7th, Leica has launched the LeicaLUX app on the US App Store, which enables iPhones to take pictures in Leica style. The basic functions of this app are free, while the professional functions cost $69.99 per year (TapTechNews note: currently about 507 Chinese yuan) or $6.99 per month (currently about 51 Chinese yuan). It has not been launched on the Chinese App Store for the time being.

According to the official introduction of Leica, deriving from Leica's color science, the LeicaLUX app offers a series of color adjustments and film presets similar to those of Leica cameras. It includes eleven modes such as Leica classic, modern, black and white, and vivid.
The LeicaLUX app reproduces several classic Leica lenses, such as the Noctilux-M50mm f/1.2, the Summilux-M28mm f/1.4, and the Summilux-M35mm f/1.4. Leica stated that the app will regularly provide new lens simulation updates.
