Paramount+ Launches Immersive SpongeBob Environment on Apple VisionPro for 25th Anniversary

TapTechNews August 7th news, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic cartoon 'SpongeBob SquarePants', the Paramount+ app has now launched an immersive SpongeBob-themed environment on Apple VisionPro.

After users open the paramount+ app on Apple VisionPro, they can choose the brand-new SpongeBob environment and be instantly brought into the familiar Bikini Bottom of the underwater world. Here, users can explore classic scenes such as SpongeBob's pineapple house, Patrick Star's rock house, and Squidward Tentacles' tentacle house.

What's more interesting is that when users start watching content on Paramount+, the environment will change accordingly. The sky in Bikini Bottom will turn into night, the screen will move near SpongeBob's home, and SpongeBob himself will be sitting there eating popcorn.

In addition, this update also introduces an interactive game that allows users to catch jellyfish. Just look at the jellyfish and gently clap your hands, and a net will appear on the screen to catch them.

TapTechNews noted that this move follows after Disney+ cooperated with National Geographic to launch the Iceland environment and Apple launched the Franz Lake environment. Apple also plans to release the official version of visionOS2 system later in 2024, including the Bora Bora environment.
