SK Hynix Showcases Multiple New Storage Products at Dell Tech Summit

TapTechNews May 22nd news, at the Dell Technologies Global Summit held from May 21st to 24th Beijing time this month, SK Hynix brought a number of new products in the storage field, covering memory and solid-state drive categories.

In the consumer-grade solid-state drive field, SK Hynix demonstrated the not-yet-officially-announced PVC10 solid-state drive.

The PVC10 adopts the PCIe Gen4 x4 specification and supports three physical specifications of M.2 2230/2242/2280, with optional capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB.

Due to the picture resolution, TapTechNews cannot confirm the specific read and write performance of PVC10, which is expected to be stronger than the previously launched BC901.

In the enterprise-grade solid-state drive aspect, SK Hynix demonstrated another not-yet-announced product, PEB110, and currently only knows that it supports the PCIe Gen5 protocol.

SK Hynix has an LPCAMM2 booth at this summit. According to the information exhibited at TSMC's 2024 Technology Symposium, the LPCAMM2 memory of SK Hynix has a speed of 7.5 Gbps, and the capacity covers 16 to 64GB.

The person in charge of SK Hynix also gave a speech on the CXL memory expansion plan and demonstrated the CXL-DDR5 memory module.

This module is built based on 24Gb DDR5 memory particles, with the EDSFF E3.S2T form factor, and adopts the PCIe Gen5 x8 channel, which can provide at least 96GB of memory capacity expansion.
