Xiaomi Leads the Establishment of New-generation Intelligent Hardware Technology Industry Production-Education Integration Community
TapTechNews May 29th news, today, the new-generation intelligent hardware technology industry production-education integration community, led by Xiaomi Group, Sun Yat-sen University, and Guizhou Electronic Technology Vocational College, held its founding ceremony in Guiyang.
The new-generation intelligent hardware technology industry production-education integration community (hereinafter referred to as the community) is a non-independent legal person organization established by Xiaomi in response to the national vocational education production-education integration policy under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, aiming to jointly cultivate high-level compound application talents urgently needed in the industry by uniting government departments, colleges and universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises, and to boost the rapid and healthy development of the national new-generation intelligent hardware technology industry.
According to the introduction, currently, 135 institutions including Wuhan University, Peking University, Tsinghua University (Yanqi Lake Institute of Applied Mathematics), Sun Yat-sen University, Guizhou University, Tianjin University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Guizhou Electronic Technology Vocational College, Nanjing University of Technology, Hubei Three Gorges Polytechnic, Kaifeng Vocational College, Guangzhou Vocational College of Technology and Business, etc. have joined the community (TapTechNews has not yet queried the complete list), and it is expected that 300 institutions will participate this year, and 500 Xiaomi ecological chain and service provider enterprises will gradually join.
Liu Lan, the deputy mayor of Guiyang, delivered a speech at the founding ceremony of the community. Liu Lan said that the new-generation intelligent hardware technology industry production-education integration community, with the five major sections of the robot exhibition hall, the robot track event venue, the robot achievement demonstration area, the training base, and the certification center as the main contents, creates a model of the industry production-education integration community integrating production, learning, research, and innovation, which will help the new-generation intelligent hardware technology industry deeply integrate and develop with higher education and vocational education, promote the upgrading of disciplines such as robotics, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy majors, and improve the application research, production manufacturing and service levels of industrial enterprises.
Qu Heng, the vice president of Xiaomi Group, said that the community will rely on Xiaomi's own advantages, focus on fields such as artificial intelligence, intelligent connected vehicles, and robots, continuously promote the in-depth integration and organic connection of the industrial chain, supply chain, and education chain, and strive to create the Xiaomi model of intelligent hardware production-education integration.
The conference held the basic education strategic cooperation signing ceremony, the international production-education integration cooperation signing ceremony and a number of forums. The site also exhibited the Xiaomi quadruped development practice platform that can conduct software and hardware integrated teaching, as well as the Xiaomi self-developed Xiaomi AIoT development platform that can quickly build intelligent products, conduct basic teaching and innovative development, and can complete productized enterprise-level teaching practice.
