TapTechNews August 13th news, according to Jiemian News, Pinduoduo has launched a refundable technical service fee entitlement for merchants who sign up to participate in in-station resource position activities.
In simple terms, for orders cancelled or refunded by users during the activity period, as well as refund orders after confirmation of receipt, merchants can enjoy the refund entitlement of technical service fees, which further reduces the operating costs of merchants.
TapTechNews found that the 'Pinduoduo Technical Service Fee Charging Rules' still currently shows the revised version as of March 12, 2023. The technical service fees are divided into basic technical service fees, category technical service fees, 10-billion-subsidy technical service fees, live streaming technical service fees, and other types.
Among them, the basic technical service fee is the service fee generally charged by Pinduoduo to settled merchants; the category technical service fee is the service fee additionally charged by Pinduoduo to merchants operating in specific categories; the 10-billion-subsidy technical service fee is the service fee additionally charged by Pinduoduo to merchants who sign up and participate in the '10-billion-subsidy' activity; the live streaming technical service fee is the service fee additionally charged by Pinduoduo for orders transacted through the live streaming channel to merchants.
Pinduoduo stated that in case of order refunds, no additional technical service fee will be charged at the time of refund, but the already collected basic technical service fee will not be refunded, and the already collected category technical service fees, '10-billion-subsidy' technical service fees, and live streaming technical service fees will be processed according to the following situations:
(1) For the technical service fees of some specific (referring to all categories in Table 1 of the 'Pinduoduo Category Technical Service Fee List' and the categories such as 'Scenic Spot Tickets/Surrounding Tours', 'Tour Routes/Goods/Services', 'Special-price Hotels/Hostels/Apartment Hotels', etc. in Table 2 of the 'Pinduoduo Category Technical Service Fee List') commodity orders, if the order has been shipped (as shown in the order details in the Pinduoduo platform system), then the already collected category technical service fees, '10-billion-subsidy' technical service fees, and live streaming technical service fees under the corresponding order will not be refunded.
(2) Except for the above situations, the remaining already collected category technical service fees, '10-billion-subsidy' technical service fees, and live streaming technical service fees will refund the corresponding amounts according to the refund ratio (if the refund amount contains decimals, only take the number to the hundredth place, for example, if the refund amount is 1.239 yuan, then actually refund 1.23 yuan).
