Apple and Rivian Announce Native AppleMusic Support for All Rivian EVs

TapTechNews August 13th, Apple and Rivian announced today that native AppleMusic support is being launched for all Rivian electric vehicles. Existing Rivian models can experience AppleMusic just by updating the vehicle's infotainment system.

It is worth noting that in addition to having to subscribe to AppleMusic, car owners also need to subscribe to RivianConnect+ to use this service, as this feature essentially belongs to the vehicle's advanced connected package.

The price of RivianConnect+ is $14.99 per month (TapTechNews note: currently about $108 RMB) or $149 per year (currently about $1069 RMB). Starting today, all Rivian owners can enjoy a two-month free trial of Connect+ and a 90-day free trial of AppleMusic.

If a certain car owner has also purchased Rivian's advanced audio sound system, they can stream AppleMusic in spatial audio format. Rivian said that this cooperation brings an incredible audio entertainment experience.

Rivian's CEO RJScaringe said last month that although the carmaker is not interested in CarPlay, it values the deep cooperative relationship with Apple to provide functions such as native AppleMusic integration.
