Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Version 24H2 Preview Update

TapTechNews May 23rd news, Microsoft today released the Windows 11 Version 24H2 (Build 26100.712) preview update for Windows Insider program members in the ReleasePreview, inviting more users to participate in testing before the official release later this year.

Microsoft stated in the press release that Windows 11 Version 24H2 will include a series of new features, including support for HDR backgrounds, energy-saving tools, Sudo for Windows, Rust transformation in Windows kernel advancement, support for Wi-Fi 7 and so on.

Microsoft also improved the existing functions of Windows 11. For example, Microsoft introduced a scrollable quick settings view in the taskbar, the function of creating 7-zip and TAR (besides ZIP) compressed files in the File Explorer, and improvements in connecting to Bluetooth® low energy audio devices.

Microsoft will gradually announce the details of the Windows 11 24H2 update in the coming months. It is also worth noting that the existing PCs cannot use the Recall function, which is limited to devices that meet the requirements of Copilot+PC.
