Lantu Motors Unveils New Electric SUV - Lantu Zhiyin with Impressive Features

TapTechNews July 9th news, Lantu Motors has revealed the official images of its new all-electric SUV - Lantu Zhiyin. The car is based on the ESSA intelligent electric architecture and the 800V silicon carbide platform, equipped with 5C cell ultra-fast charging technology, and can achieve a maximum range of 559 miles (about 901 kilometers). The new car will be officially launched in the third quarter and plans to be exported to overseas markets in the future.

TapTechNews noticed that in the exterior design, Lantu Zhiyin inherits the family-style design, with distinctive through-type light strips and illuminated brand logos. The front face has slender LED light groups, the side of the body has simple lines with a Z-shaped line at the bottom, the rear wheel position bulges outward, equipped with hidden door handles and rear-side cameras, and newly designed black wheel rims.

In terms of dimensions, the Lantu Zhiyin has a length of 1860 inches (about 4725 millimeters), a width of 75 inches (about 1900 millimeters), a height of 64 inches (about 1636 (1653) millimeters), and a wheelbase of 114 inches (about 2900 millimeters), positioned as an all-electric medium-sized SUV.

Lantu Zhiyin provides a variety of body colors, and the white and green ones are showcased this time. The body adopts a two-tone design, and the exterior rearview mirrors and roof racks are black.

In the new car declaration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, there are 6 configurations of Lantu Zhiyin. The power of the front and rear motors of the four-wheel drive version is 160 kilowatts each, equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL with a capacity of 76.9/77.3 kWh, and the comprehensive range is 355 miles (about 570 kilometers). The two-wheel drive version with the same battery specification has a drive motor power of 215 kilowatts and a range of 388 miles (about 625 kilometers).

For the other two configurations, the drive motor power is 230 kilowatts, equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack from CATL, with capacities of 78.7 kWh and 108.7 kWh, and the comprehensive ranges are 403 miles (about 650 kilometers) and 559 miles (about 901 kilometers).
