TapTechNews August 1st, in an interview with the tech media TheVerge, Hanneke Faber, the new CEO of Logitech, disclosed that the company is considering launching a 'permanent mouse', and users can obtain rights and interests such as paid software updates through a subscription method.
Faber said that users only need to buy a premium mouse and don't need to worry about subsequent usage issues anymore, which is no different from the current video conferencing service.
Faber was pressed further and said: 'This mouse will have a very luxurious configuration. You can imagine it as a mouse studded with diamonds.'
Faber clarified that consumers use mice and keyboards every day, but the average selling price of these peripherals is about $26 (TapTechNews note: currently about 188 RMB), which is relatively low.
She believes: 'This is equivalent to the price of four cups of Starbucks coffee, or even lower than the price of a Nike running shirt. As we increase people's work efficiency - expand human potential, there is still a lot of room for creating more value in this field.'
