TapTechNews May 17th news, Tesla officially released an announcement today, declaring that version 2024.8.9.1 has started to be pushed in batches. The main upgrade content of this software update is to optimize the network connection function of vehicles with Intel series on-board computers.
Before unifying the use of AMD Ryzen processors as the vehicle computer chip at the end of 2021, Tesla had used the Intel Atom A3950 series processor for 6 years (since 2016), and also used the NVIDIA Tegra3 chip in 2012.
TapTechNews noticed that Tesla also pushed the 2024.14.3 software update for old models based on Intel CPUs overseas a few days ago, bringing some functions reserved for Ryzen vehicles, such as a new media player with additional controls.
