TapTechNews May 18th news, Bloomberg reported that Apple is preparing to sell the VisionPro headset in markets outside the US. Mark Gurman said that the UK, Canada and Singapore will all be included in the next batch of regional lists for listing.
This news confirms the next batch of VisionPro listing regional lists disclosed by MacRumors in March, specifically including:
Australia
Canada
China
France
Germany
Japan
Singapore
Korea
UK
Apple has not announced the listing date of VisionPro in these countries and regions, but it is expected to be released after the WWDC Worldwide Developers Conference held from June 10th to 14th.
Mark Gurman also reported a few days ago that Apple has required employees from retail stores around the world to go to Cupertino to attend a 4-day VisionPro training course in order to prepare for the VisionPro listing plan.
Apple also held a similar training course before the VisionPro was listed in the US, including how to demonstrate for customers and answer customers' questions. Currently, Apple has not announced the exact listing date of VisionPro in other countries and regions, but insiders said that the company plans to first introduce VisionPro to the international market after the WWDC24 Worldwide Developers Conference. This year's Apple Worldwide Developers Conference will be held from June 10th to 14th.
Since its launch, the interest in VisionPro in the US market has decreased somewhat, and it is reported that Apple has also reduced the shipment volume of VisionPro. Selling in the international market may rejuvenate consumers' interest in the device, but the price of $3500 (TapTechNews note: currently about 25,340 yuan) is still a major obstacle to its popularity, and currently Apple has not announced the price of the headset in non-US regions.
