Great Wall Motors to Unveil Shanhai Pao Cross-Country Version at 2024 Chengdu Auto Show

TapTechNews August 25th news, Great Wall Motors today released the official pictures of the pickup model of the山海炮 (Shanhai Pao) cross-country version. This car will be officially pre-sold in the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show which opens on August 30th. For reference, the current on-sale Shanhai Pao has a price range of 228,800 - 301,800 yuan ($32,619 - $43,027).

Referring to the official pictures, the overall style of the Shanhai Pao cross-country version is not much different from the current Shanhai Pao. The front uses a large-size grille and a horizontal air intake, and is equipped with a snorkel, all-terrain tires (AT tires), and a roof rack, which has more prominent advantages in off-road and other scenarios, but this car lacks the front 12500-pound T-MAX winch used in the performance version of the Shanhai Pao.

The official has not yet announced the specification information of the Shanhai Pao cross-country version. For comparison, TapTechNews learned that the current on-sale performance version of the Shanhai Pao has a length, width and height of 5462 (5493) × 1992 × 1960 millimeters and a wheelbase of 3350 millimeters. It is equipped with a 3.0T V6 gasoline engine with a maximum power of 260 kilowatts and a peak torque of 500 Newton-meters, and is combined with an electronically controlled silicone oil fan, providing 9 all-terrain modes.
