OpenAI Appoints Zico Kolter as Board Member

Kolter obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 2010 and then conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012.

Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to the field of machine learning and has written a large number of award-winning papers at renowned conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, and AISTATS.

OpenAI believes that his research and expertise cover new deep network architectures, innovative methods for understanding the impact of data on models, and automated methods for evaluating the robustness of AI models, making him an invaluable technical director in the company's governance work.
