XPeng Motors to Enter UK Market with XPeng G6; Expansion Plans and Details

TapTechNews July 15th news, XPeng Motors announced today that it is about to enter the UK market. The XPeng G6 made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the oldest car show in the UK, last week.

TapTechNews noted that as early as September last year, foreign media reported that XPeng Motors plans to expand rapidly in Europe in 2024, including starting to sell some models in France, Germany, and the UK. The company will offer the right-hand drive version of the XPeng G6 in the UK market. However, XPeng Motors will not temporarily obtain the XPeng G9 large SUV or the P7 sedan in the UK market.

It is reported that XPeng Motors is expected to adopt the traditional dealer model in the UK market, rather than the direct sales model. In addition, considering factors such as import taxes, certifications, and logistics, it is expected that the price of XPeng Motors in the UK market will increase significantly.

The XPeng G6 car was released in June last year, and the price range in the domestic market is from 199,900 to 276,900 yuan ($28,400 to $39,200). The length, width, and height of the car are 4753/1920/1650 millimeters (187.1/75.6/65 inches) respectively, and the wheelbase is 2890 millimeters (113.8 inches).
