Foxconn and NVIDIA to Build Cutting-edge Computing Center in Taiwan

TapTechNews June 6 news, according to today's report by DigitimesAsia, Foxconn and NVIDIA announced that they will establish a cutting-edge computing center in Taiwan region, located in the Kaohsiung Software Park and will be completed in 2026.

According to the introduction, the facility is centered around NVIDIA's GB200 servers and aims to revolutionize Foxconn's smart manufacturing, electric vehicles (EV) and smart city platforms. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the close cooperation between the two tech giants and regarded the Blackwell series of chips as the best example of their joint innovation. Jensen Huang praised Foxconn's excellent vertical integration capabilities and positioned it as an important partner for NVIDIA in the GB200 project.

Liu Young-way, chairman of Foxconn, stated that the Kaohsiung factory located in the Kaohsiung Software Park will be equipped with 64 racks and 4608 GPUs. The cooperation between the two parties will not be limited to the Kaohsiung center. Foxconn will enhance its smart platform while expanding their cooperation in areas such as AI, electric vehicles, intelligent factories, robots and smart city platforms.

Jensen Huang also highly praised Foxconn as a top supplier and a pioneer in smart manufacturing, robots and generative AI applications.

According to yesterday's report by TapTechNews, the latest performance report of Hon Hai Group shows that due to the boost of artificial intelligence, the sales in May reached NTD 550.16 billion (TapTechNews note: currently about CNY 123.214 billion), exceeding expectations and increasing by 22.1% year-on-year.
