Microsoft to Introduce Offline Feature to Outlook for Windows This Month

TapTechNews June 6th news, Microsoft updated the Microsoft 365 roadmap and announced that it will introduce an offline feature to the Windows version of Outlook this month.

Microsoft updated the roadmap in September 2023. It originally planned to introduce this feature in October 2023, but it was later postponed until now. Microsoft did not give a reason for the delayed release.

The official Microsoft information is as follows:

The first batch of offline features of Outlook for Windows will be available in June. Even without an internet connection, users' operations on emails, calendar items, and contacts will be stored on the device.

Users can also perform key operations on emails, including marking, moving, deleting, and composing emails, and can maintain productivity even when not connected to the internet.

TapTechNews reported last October that Microsoft has begun inviting some members of the Windows Insider program to test the offline function of the Outlook application in the Win11 system.

The new version of Outlook is based on the web, and previously could not be used properly in the absence of an internet connection. Microsoft has recently begun inviting users to test the offline function of the new version of Outlook, and some functions such as the calendar can also run without an internet connection.
