MediaTek Rumored to Team Up with NVIDIA to Develop ARM AIPC Processors

According to the Taiwan media Economic Daily News, there are rumors that MediaTek will cooperate with NVIDIA to develop ARM architecture AIPC processors. It is expected to complete the design tapeout in the third quarter and enter verification in the fourth quarter. The new chip is said to be priced as high as $300 (approximately 2172 RMB).

The Taiwan media also stated that NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun will come to Taiwan on June 2 for the Taipei Computer Show, and MediaTek is expected to announce the details of the AIPC processor cooperation with NVIDIA next month.

According to previous reports from TapTechNews, ARM plans to launch its own artificial intelligence (AI) chip prototype product by spring 2025, and will establish an AI chip department. The AI chip will be produced by contractors and is expected to begin mass production in the fall of 2025.
