XPeng Motors Announces Q2 Earnings and Future Plans
TapTechNews August 20th news, XPeng Motors today announced its latest Q2 financial report: revenue of 8.11 billion yuan ($1.18 billion), a year-on-year increase of 60.2%; 30,207 vehicles were delivered, a year-on-year increase of 30.2%.
In the post-earnings conference call, He Xiaopeng, chairman of XPeng Motors, said that since the launch of XPeng MONAM03, XPeng will enter a strong product cycle and a period of rapid development, and there will be several new products and facelift models coming to the market intensively in the next three years.
He Xiaopeng stated that after XPeng MONAM03 is officially launched on August 27th, it will quickly start large-scale delivery; and it is planned to launch the first model P7+ of the new-generation autonomous driving hardware platform in the fourth quarter.
The delivery ramp-up of MONAM03 and P7+ will significantly expand XPeng's market share. XPeng Motors is confident that the delivery volume will increase significantly quarter-on-quarter in the third and fourth quarters of this year and set a new high in delivery volume in the fourth quarter.
This morning, He Xiaopeng announced that the XPeng 10 Years of Passion Night and the XPeng MONAM03 Launch Event will be held at 7 p.m. on August 27th.
According to TapTechNews' previous report, XPeng MONAM03 has been open for reservation since August 8th, and it is fully equipped with Qualcomm 8155 chip and 16GB RAM, claiming that even the car infotainment system for young people should be flagship, and the poster shows that the starting price is less than $20,000.
