Can Windows applications run on Windows 11 Arm PCs?

Users can install and run most Windows applications on Windows 11 Arm devices just like on other Windows 11 PC devices, and these applications don't necessarily have to come from the Microsoft Store.

Many popular Windows applications have re-engineered their applications for Windows on Arm PCs to achieve the best performance, and more native applications will follow.

Users can run most Windows applications through the emulation method of the Prism compatibility layer, and Windows 11 24H2 will default include the Prism compatibility layer to improve the performance of emulated applications.

Can I use printers and other peripherals on Windows 11 Arm-based PCs?

Windows 11 Arm PCs support most printers, including printers that support the printing standard Mopria.

Users can log in to mopria.org to see if the printer is Mopria-certified. TapTechNews has learned from the report that large printer manufacturers such as HP and Xerox have released printer support applications, which are designed to enhance the Windows printing experience.

If the driver that the peripheral depends on is already built into Windows 11, or if the hardware developer has released an Arm64 driver for the device, the peripheral can operate normally.
