Amazon Prime Day 2024 details and more

TapTechNews June 25th news, Amazon confirms that Prime Day will return from 3:00 PM on July 16th, 2024, Beijing time till July 17th, and this will be the tenth Prime Day event held by the company.

Currently, the Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 per month (about $109 RMB currently) or $139 per year (about $1011 RMB currently). If you are eligible, you can also get a 30-day free trial period.

In addition, Amazon also announced that the 'Back to School' event has now returned, providing various discounts for parents, students, and teachers, including same-day delivery. Currently, this service is available to customers in more than 110 major metropolitan areas in the US.

Young people and college students aged 18 to 24 can try PrimeStudent for six months, and then only need to pay $7.49 per month (about $54 RMB currently) or $69 per year (about $502 RMB currently) to maintain the Prime status.

Amazon officials said that last year, it saved users nearly $24 billion (TapTechNews note: about 174.506 billion RMB currently) through discounts and coupons, and the vast majority of them were enjoyed by Prime members, including $2.5 billion (about 18.178 billion RMB currently) during Prime Day 2023.
