Polestar Unveils New 2025 Model with Enhanced Features
TapTechNews June 25 news, Polestar has now launched a brand new 2025 Polestar 2 model. The long-range single-motor model's WLTP range has been upgraded from 654 kilometers to 659 kilometers.
This new car went on sale in Europe and Canada on Tuesday and plans to enter more markets by the end of 2024, with a starting price of 48,990 euros (TapTechNews note: currently about 382,000 yuan). The performance package costs 6,500 euros.
The new model has added two new exterior colors: Vapour (replacing standard Magnesium) and Storm (replacing Thunder).
Other exterior design upgrades include new 19-inch Aero alloy wheels with aerodynamic design and 20-inch Pro graphite alloy wheels with ProPack.
In the interior, the new car adopts a carbon-gray Napa leather interior that conforms to animal welfare standards, which is made by the internationally renowned Scottish company Bridge of Weir; ProPack also includes a brand new black and Swedish gold seat belt.
This model provides a large number of optional configurations, such as the 1,000-euro Pilot package that adds PilotAssist intelligent driving function and emergency braking assist function to the car, the 2,900-euro Plus package includes panoramic glass sunroof, LED fog lights with turn signal function, WeaveTech seats with BlackAsh decorative inserts, interior lighting, electric front seats, fine dust sensor, UWP digital car key, electric tailgate with foot sensor and folding cargo area divider, luggage rack in the trunk, and the 1,000-euro temperature control package includes heat pump, rear seat heating, steering wheel heating and wiper nozzle heating.
Other aspects, the AC charger is for 200 euros, the HarmanKardon sound system is for 1,000 euros, and the Pixel LED headlight is for 1,200 euros. You can also choose the tinted rear window of the Plus package for an additional 300 euros.
In addition, Polestar 2 has a new single-motor model in Europe, equipped with an upgraded 70 kWh CATL battery, and the WLTP range has increased to 554 kilometers; the dual-motor long-range model's range has increased from 591 kilometers to 596 kilometers, and after adding the performance package, the range will be reduced by 28 kilometers.
