Apple to Redesign MacBookPro Mold in 2025-2026

TapTechNews, on June 30th, it was reported that Apple introduced the 14/16-inch MacBookPro mold in 2021. It has been 3 years since the M1Pro/Max to the current M3Pro/Max. And according to the Bloomberg report, Apple plans to redesign the MacBookPro mold in the next two years (2025-2026).

Apple usually replaces the MacBookPro mold every 3 to 4 years. Take the previous-generation 13/15-inch TouchBar mold as an example. This mold was introduced in 2016. Apple radically canceled the USB-A/SD card slot/MagSafe/HDMI interface of the 2013 model and replaced it with USB-C ports. At the same time, it added the divisive butterfly keyboard and TouchBar touch bar, and also canceled the backlit of the Apple logo.

In 2021, Apple introduced the current 14/16-inch mold, mainly using the narrow bezel 'notch screen' design, removed the 'MacBookPro' inscription on the B side, changed back to the scissor foot keyboard, and at the same time added back the SD card slot/HDMI/MagSafe interface. In 2022-2023, Apple relatively'mended and patched', and did not make major modifications to the current mold. Only a 'Deep Space Black' material was newly added, and a version with only two Thunderbolt 4 ports (TapTechNews note: M3 standard version) was launched.
