BOE Powers Honor MagicVFlip with f-OLED Technology
TapTechNews June 14th news, this morning, BOE's official public account announced that BOE, with f-OLED technology, powers Honor MagicVFlip, exclusively supplying the flexible OLED folding inner screen and a 4-inch outer screen.
BOE stated that Honor MagicVFlip adopts BOE's a new flexible folding low-power technology solution, comprehensively enhanced in durability, portability, and battery life.
For the inner screen, the screen size is 6.8 inches. It adopts a polarizer-free technology, forming an ultrathin high-transparency and low-reflection film outside the screen packaging layer to replace the polarizer, significantly enhancing the screen's light transmittance and achieving a bright, high-color folding display effect and low-power display performance. At the same time, the screen supports a multi-frequency refresh rate mode of 1-120Hz. The two sides jointly developed a low-power combination technology solution with features like thinness, small creases, and durability.
For the outer screen, it is equipped with BOE's new-generation LTPO technology. The official claims that it realizes a brand-new upgrade of the pixel circuit, supporting longer stationary display scenarios. In addition, Honor equips the display driver IC with demura and anti-burn-in algorithms, achieving the lowest near-0.1Hz ultra-static display refresh rate in the mobile phone industry, to support full-screen all-weather display with even lower power consumption.
Both the inner and outer screens of this phone adopt BOE's high-frequency PWM dimming mode, claiming to significantly reduce the potential harm of screen flicker to the eyes in a dim environment. The peak brightness of the inner screen is 3000 nits; the global maximum brightness of the outer screen is 1600 nits, and the peak brightness reaches 2500 nits.
According to TapTechNews' report last night, the Dream Small Giant Screen of Honor MagicVFlip has been officially launched. It is equipped with the first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processor (3.0 GHz) and offers 4 versions. It will officially go on sale at 10:08 on June 21.
