Shenzhen's Move to Boost Low-Altitude Economy with Airport Cooperation and New Institutions

TapTechNews August 5th, according to the Securities Times report today, the government of Futian District, Shenzhen has recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Airport Group. The two sides will jointly layout urban terminal buildings to expand the radiation range of the airport's high-quality services, give full play to their respective advantages, and jointly introduce leading enterprises in aviation logistics and low-altitude fields for Shenzhen, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.

At the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, three important institutions in the low-altitude field that settled in Futian District were officially put into use:

The 'Low-Altitude Economy Research Institute' established by the China Civil Aviation Science and Technology Research Institute: It will carry out research on scientific research projects, standard formulation and revision, and capacity verification in the low-altitude field, as well as the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements;

The 'Low-Altitude Economy Development Research Center' established by the Civil Aviation Management Cadre Institute: It will carry out businesses such as the application and promotion of scientific research achievements, the development and verification of operation technology, the construction of a low-altitude flight service training system, and the exchange of academic achievements and management experience;

The 'Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Pilot Training Institution' jointly established by the Shenzhen Low-Altitude Industry Company and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China: Carry out training of civil unmanned aerial vehicle pilot controllers, popular science education for civil unmanned aerial vehicles for teenagers, and vocational education and training.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, at the Shenzhen Low-Altitude Economy High-Quality Development Conference held on August 2nd, the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission announced that it strives to make the proportion of the city's open unmanned aerial vehicle suitable flight airspace exceed 75% by 2025, and the total number of low-altitude commercial air routes exceed 1,000; by the end of 2025, it will have the service guarantee ability to support 1,000 low-altitude aircraft in commercial operation in the air at the same time and 10,000 flight sorties per day.
