Mercedes-Benz Recalls 51,536 Vehicles in China

TapTechNews on June 7th, recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation according to the 'Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products' and the 'Implementation Rules of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products'. From now on, it recalls some imported A-Class, B-Class, CLA, GLB SUV, GLE SUV and GLS SUV vehicles with production dates ranging from July 5, 2018 to February 19, 2021, totaling 51,536 vehicles.

In some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to a deviation in the software development process of the combination instrument control unit, the emblem of the rear fog lamp in the combination instrument may not meet the regulations of the national standard for the symbol of the rear fog lamp.

Learned from the recall announcement by TapTechNews, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will upgrade the software of the instrument control unit for free for the vehicles within the recall range through the authorized dealer of Mercedes-Benz.
