Wuling Hongguang Pure Electric Version Launched in the US with Features and Specs
TapTechNews September 29th news, the pure electric version of Wuling Hongguang has been launched, introducing two versions of Practical Type and Standard Type. The official guiding prices are $9,980 and $10,280 respectively, and the CLTC pure electric range is both 300 kilometers. TapTechNews noticed that from now until October 7th, placing an order for the pure electric version of Wuling Hongguang on the official platform, $150 deposit can be deducted as $300. For reference, the previously sold Wuling Hongguang only provided a fuel version, and the official guiding price range is $6,500 - $8,500.
The pure electric version of Wuling Hongguang is claimed to be the world's first 60,000-level pure electric rear-wheel drive MPV, which is more concise in design, adopts a fully enclosed front face design, with a red Wuling logo, and a small-sized air intake grille is retained at the lower part of the vehicle head. The lamp group shape of the new car has also been adjusted, and the charging interface is located at the front fender on the driver's side.
In the rear part of the vehicle, the new pure electric version of Wuling Hongguang is equipped with vertically arranged taillights, and the rear windshield area is significantly larger than that of the current model. In terms of configuration, the new car provides three car paints of Polar White, Clear Sky Silver, and Tungsten Steel Gray, and is equipped with 14-inch steel wheels, integrated near-far LED lens headlights, manual adjustable exterior rearview mirrors, ABS+EBD, child rear side door protection lock, remote key, one-touch descent of the driver's side window, front evaporative air conditioning, 12-volt on-board power supply, radio, etc.
In terms of body dimensions, the new pure electric version of Wuling Hongguang is consistent with the fuel version, with a length, width and height of 4515/1725/1790 millimeters and a wheelbase of 2850 millimeters. It is equipped with rear side-opening doors and provides 5-seat and 6-seat versions.
The external configurations of the Practical Type and the Standard Type are basically the same. The price of the Standard Type is $300 higher, and it adds configurations such as the driver's airbag, speed-sensing automatic door lock, top evaporative air conditioning, multimedia player (including reverse image, 8-inch large screen, USB interface, electrically adjustable radio and Bluetooth), etc.
In terms of power, the new pure electric version of Wuling Hongguang adopts single-motor drive, with a maximum power of 75 kilowatts and a peak torque of 180 Newton-meters. It is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack (Wuling Red No. 1 battery), the battery capacity is 32.6 kilowatt-hours, and the CLTC pure electric range is 300 kilometers. It supports fast charging and slow charging. Under the fast charging mode, it takes 30 minutes for the power to charge from 30% to 80%, and under the AC slow charging mode, it takes 9.8 hours for the power to charge from 20% to 100%, and a 10-amp portable charging gun is provided.
