Sony's 'Star BLAZE' Game Launch, Features, and More

TapTechNews July 14th news, Sony's Star BLAZE game has been launched in the form of an early access weekend trial from July 13th to 15th, and simultaneously landed on PS5 and PC platforms.

It is introduced that Star BLAZE was officially announced in the State of Play 2024 event on May 31st. It is a 5v5 shooting game of Sony's first-party game and has now been listed on the Steam China region.

The early access weekend trial event ends, and the Star BLAZE trial version will hold a public play event from July 19th to July 22nd, open to all PS5 and PC version players to participate.

Standard Edition: $40.

Deluxe Edition (play the game 3 days in advance/16 character skins): $58.

During the early access weekend trial event, the game opens 4 maps, and players can play 16 Freelancer characters in the game; later in the public play event, 1 new planet and the 5th new map: the Bone Quarry of Arka Star will be added.

Currently, the game offers three play modes: Bounty Race, Cargo Scramble, and Stronghold Confrontation, and later will add Zone Control Race. The official said that after the Star BLAZE goes on the market, a new animated short will be added in the game every week for players to understand the story of the members of the North Star Squad, and the first animated short will debut in the trial version.

Sony positions Star BLAZE as a real-time service game, claiming that the official will regularly premiere new cinematic vignettes in the game, and these vignettes will further promote the story development of these characters and advance the ongoing narrative arc.

Sony's Star BLAZE will be released on August 24th Beijing time, and the PC configuration requirements have now been announced:

Minimum quality (1080p and 60FPS game), requires an i7-8700K or R7 2700X processor, GTX1660 or RX5500XT graphics card, and 8GB of memory.

Ultra-high quality (4K and 60FPS game), requires an i7-10700K or R7 3700X processor, RTX4070Ti or AMD Radeon RX7900XT graphics card, and 16GB of memory.
