Microsoft Updates Windows Health Dashboard Photos App Issue for Windows 11 Users

TapTechNews June 19, Microsoft has updated the Windows Health dashboard today and stated that Windows 11 23H2/22H2 users may encounter an issue where the Photos app fails to open, showing a rotating circle that may disappear afterward.

The content of Microsoft's log is After enabling BlockNonAdminUserInstall, the Photos application may not start, indicating that Windows 11 users who update the Microsoft Photos application (version 2024.11050.29009.0 and above) from the Microsoft Store app store on and after June 4, 2024, may encounter an issue where the application fails to start.

Microsoft stated that if the Procmon monitoring tool is installed on the user's device, this error may be displayed as an Access Denied error (‘ExitStatus: -2147024891’).

Microsoft stated that the reason for this problem may be due to the enabling of the BlockNonAdminUserInstall group policy, but users who use Windows 11 Home Edition are unlikely to be affected.
