Li Bin recommended the battery swapping technology to Lei Jun and said that after each car is transformed into a battery swapping model, it only needs to increase the cost by 1000 Chinese Yuan ($145).

Li Bin also claimed that from charging to battery swapping, only a little adaptation is needed on the chassis. At the same time, models with battery swapping capability can attract more consumers, and the expected market increment can be increased by 10% to 20%.

Li Bin indicated that extended-range and plug-in hybrid models are installed with two power systems, and both of them need maintenance. Therefore, the cost throughout the whole product life cycle is not low.

According to the previous report of TapTechNews, Li Bin also said in this trip that the Xiaomi SU7 has already outperformed the Model 3, and asked Lei Jun whether the LeDao L60 would have a chance to surpass the Model Y. Lei Jun replied that Li Bin didn't even let him test drive.
