WeChat Pay to Issue Vouchers for Mainland Tourists in Macau to Mark Special Anniversaries
TapTechNews September 26th news, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the return of Macau to the motherland, the Macau Special Administrative Region Government Tourism Bureau and WeChat Pay announced that they will issue special Double Celebration vouchers and equal-value vouchers to mainland tourists traveling to Macau as of today.
This activity will continue until December 31st and is for all mainland WeChat Pay users who have completed real-name authentication with their mainland resident identity cards. The vouchers can be used at all offline community merchants in Macau.
If the one-time consumption reaches 200 Chinese yuan (about 29 US dollars), there is a chance to get a 25-yuan (about 3.6 US dollars) voucher, and the next consumption of 100 yuan (about 14 US dollars) can use this voucher; if the one-time consumption reaches 500 yuan (about 73 US dollars), there is a chance to get a 75-yuan (about 11 US dollars) voucher, and the next consumption of 300 yuan (about 44 US dollars) can use this voucher.
In addition, if tourists consume through WeChat Pay at Macau community catering merchants and participate in the interaction after payment, there is also a chance to win a catering free of charge. If the user wins the free of charge, the paid amount will be fully refunded to the user in the form of a voucher (TapTechNews note: this voucher can only be used in the next consumption that exceeds the full amount of the free of charge).
It is worth noting that the various vouchers and the involved consumption amounts are in Chinese yuan; the consumption places do not include the merchants operating within the six major integrated resort and leisure enterprises in Macau; the 25-yuan and 75-yuan electronic vouchers, each user can only get one of each; the catering free of charge and entertainment, shopping and free of charge offers, each WeChat Pay user can only get one each during the activity.
